Tulisa is making a big comeback - but it comes after she spent two years in self-imposed hiding.
The singer, 30, who is releasing her new single Daddy to mark her return to the spotlight, confessed that she moved to the 'middle of nowhere' to Where has Tulisa been and why did she vanish from the spotlight .
Although she landed the plumb job of judging on The X Factor and going on to create Little Mix who were one of her acts, her run was tainted by scandal as a sex tape featuring the star and an ex-boyfriend emerged online.
As well as that Tulisa reckons that the role on prime-time TV actually contributed to her music career stalling.
She explained to NME that being on the family show affected the way she presented herself and that she doesn't think she would have had 'Young' as her Tulisa announces music comeback with new song 'Daddy' and very provocative snaps .
"On a family show, you have to keep up appearances, and fit into a mould. I definitely adapted myself a lot and played a version of myself for a long time."
Tulisa added that she's excited about being the artist she wants to be without having to keep up appearances.
"This is the Tulisa that would have come out as a solo artist straight off of N-Dubz. Take X Factor out of the equation and this is the kind of artist I would always be."

Where has Tulisa been and why did she vanish from the spotlight
Tulisa rose to fame in the mid-2000s with the N-Dubz and went on to carve out a solo career in music and reality TV before she disappeared.
Her first album The Female Boss flopped, a sex tape leaked and then things went from bad to worse in 2013 when she was arrested on suspicion of suppling class A drugs.
It was part of a sting operation by notorious undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood - known as the Fake Sheik - and he claimed she's brokered a deal to sell him drugs while he was posing as wealthy film producer.
The case went to court and Tulisa's trial sensationally collapsed, with Mahmood being accused of tampering with evidence.

"That was the period that really calmed me down," she said of not being approached by fans or the papparazzi.
