TUI issues travel update on latest holiday programme

TUI has updated its holiday programme in line with the government's international travel lists.

The British airline has cancelled a number of flights due to 'ongoing uncertainty' around travel to certain destinations amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The latest update comes almost two weeks after Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced changes to the green, amber, and red lists - with seven new countries including Germany joining the green list.

But a large proportion of holiday hotspots are at risk of being moved to the amber list at any time, categorised under the 'green watchlist'.

Meanwhile, four countries including India moved from red to amber, while Mexico, Georgia and the French overseas territories of La Reunion and Mayotte were added to the red list.

A statement on TUI's website says they are 'continually reviewing' their holiday programme in line with government updates every three weeks.
