TUI confirms latest holiday changes with new update for trips to Jamaica

More holidays have been cancelled by the UK's biggest tour operator, including trips to popular destinations in mainland Spain and Italy.

TUI has announced a host of new cancellations blaming ongoing uncertainty around travel amid UK Government restrictions. In a separate announcement TUI confirmed it was suspending trips to Jamaica following changing Foreign Office travel advice.

The operator stated: "If we need to cancel holidays because of updated Government guidance, or after reviewing our holiday programme, we will contact customers and aim to give at least seven days advance notice.

"These customers can request a full cash refund, or to change to a later date or alternative holiday with a booking incentive."

It advised holidaymakers to keep checking latest TUI travel information of regular updates.

TUI added: "Please check our flying programme for more information for the most up to date information on departures from UK airports we’re flying from. For the latest information on entry and testing requirements by destination visit our Covid reassurance hub.

"We would like to thank our customers for their understanding at this time."

The following destinations are cancelled:

Up to and including September 6:

Italy (Naples)

Up to and including September 9:

Italy with non-TUI flights

Up to and including September 17:

Florida

Up to and including September 18:

Aruba

Up to and including September 25:

Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Mexico, Turkey and Tunisia

Canada, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Tobago, UAE (Abu Dhabi) and USA with non-TUI flights

Up to and including October 31:

Austria, Italy and Slovenia (TUI Lakes and Mountains including non-TUI flights)

Bulgaria (Varna and Bourgas)

Italy (Calabria, Sardinia and Sicily)

Mainland Spain (Almeria and Girona)

Malta (except non-TUI flights) and Montenegro

Thailand

Turkey with non-TUI flights

Meanwhile, TUI said it had cancelled all holidays to Jamaica until September 11.

It stated: "Due to the updated travel advice from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advising against all but essential travel to Jamaica, TUI UK has cancelled all holidays to Jamaica until Saturday September 11, 2021.

"Customers currently on holiday in Jamaica can continue their holiday and return to the UK on their planned flight.

"Customers will be contacted in departure date order to discuss their options, which will include amending to another holiday with an incentive or cancelling and receiving a full refund.

"We’d like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience."
