The UK's biggest tour operator TUI has cancelled all flights and holidays booked before July 10.
The move comes following a decision by the company to delay the restart date due to ongoing travel restrictions.
The company was originally hopeful to start flying again on July 1.
Customers who were booked on cancelled holidays and flights will have a "refund credit" paid to them within four weeks of their original departure date, reports the LiverpoolEcho.
Once the refund credit is paid, an option is there to take it as a cash refund, but those who had booked a package holiday will get an extra 20 per cent credit as encouragement to rebook their getaway for a later date.
A spokesperson for TUI said: “We are constantly monitoring the situation and will start taking people on holiday again as soon as we are able to do so.”
A message on the TUI website states: "All other holidays are continuing to operate as planned and will be continuously reviewed."
Rival airline Jet2 suspended their flight restart plans on Monday (June 8), now targeting a July 15 restart date.
All major UK tour operators have agreed, they will not run trips until the foreign office changes its advice against all non-essential travel to other countries.
