TUI announces latest holiday updates as testing and travel rules are relaxed

The UK's largest tour operator has revised the list of destinations it serves following the relaxation of travel and testing rules.

TUI has updated the list of resorts following recent Government announcements on changes to the traffic light system and quarantine guidelines.

Fully-vaccinated holidaymakers customers and children under the age of 18 travelling with their vaccinated parents, are no longer required to take a pre-departure test before their arrival into England.

Later this month, the day two PCR test will also be replaced by a lateral flow test and this is anticipated to reduce costs for hard-pressed holidaymakers.

TUI stated: "We are continually reviewing our holiday programme and cancellations in line with Government updates every three weeks."

The next UK Government travel update is expected on Thursday this week when the red-list of no-go destinations should be massively reduced.

TUI is currently operating or scheduled to operate to the following destinations:

TUI flights:

Balearics (Ibiza, Majorca, Menorca)

Canaries (Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma and Tenerife)

Croatia (Dubrovnik until October 10, Pula and Split)

Cyprus (Larnaca and Paphos)

Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh from October 17 and Hurghada from October 18)

Greece (Corfu, Crete, Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Kos, Parga, Rhodes, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Thassos and Zakynthos)

Italy (Naples)

Madeira and Porto Santo

Mainland Spain (Alicante, Malaga and Reus)

Morocco (Agadir and Marrakech)

Portugal (Algarve, Madeira and Porto Santo)

St Lucia

Turkey (Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum and Izmir from October 16)

TUI added: "If we need to cancel holidays because of updated Government guidance, or after reviewing our holiday programme, we will contact customers and aim to give at least seven days advance notice.

These customers can request a full cash refund, or to change to a later date or alternative holiday with a booking incentive.
