TUI announce new destinations and extra flights from Bristol Airport

With the clocks going back this weekend and the dark nights drawing in, many people will already be dreaming of or booking their next holiday in the sun.

But for those who are having trouble picking where to jet off to, flights from Bristol Airport have just got a whole lot more exciting after TUI announced three new destinations launching this summer.

Two of the new locations are in Spain - one to Girona and the other to Almeria in the south.

Holidaymakers will also be able to fly directly to Izmir, on Turkey's coastline, from March.

The new flights from Bristol Airport went on sale today (October 22). The Izmir flights are operating on Saturdays, Girona on Tuesdays and Almeria on Sundays.

TUI has also launched additional flights to popular destinations including Florida, which will have two services per week from March.

Extra services to Dalaman (Turkey), Palma (Spain), Antalya (Turkey), Tenerife (Spain) and Larnaca (Cyprus) will run during the summer 2020 programme.

TUI UK and Ireland director of aviation planning, Karen Switzer said: “Earlier this month TUI announced an additional two million seats to many holiday destination favourites and today the majority of these seats go on sale for summer 2020.

"We are delighted that our new additions launched today provide holidaymakers departing from Bristol Airport with even more choice when deciding where to go next summer on holiday.

"The customer is at the heart of everything we do and this additional growth to some of our customer’s favourite holiday hotspots demonstrates our continued commitment for people to discover their smile with us."

Business development director at Bristol Airport Nigel Scott said: “This is incredibly positive news with TUI adding an extra 266,000 seats for summer 2020 season.

"We have worked closely with TUI to identify new opportunities which sees a range of exciting new destinations, and additional 10 and 11 night holidays and new flights to the most popular destinations.

"We are particularly delighted with the additional second weekly service to Orlando (Sanford) which provides improved options to the existing TUI long haul services from Bristol.”
