Tuesday's National Lottery EuroMillions jackpot could make you richer than Sir Tom Jones

One lucky ticket holder could shoot to the top of the UK lottery rich list by bagging a record-breaking jackpot of £167million on EuroMillions tonight.

The telephone number figure would make them richer overnight than singing legend Sir Tom Jones who has £165million in the bank.

And the instant riches would dwarf the combined wealth of Little Mix who have £45million, former One Direction star Harry Styles with £58million, supermodel Cara Delevingne on £22million and chart-topper Sam Smith whose £32million gives them a total of £157 million.

With the stakes high and the nation dreaming of scooping the biggest ever jackpot, lottery bosses are expecting a surge for tickets.

Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, hold the previous record lottery prize when they won £161m on the EuroMillions (SWNS)

While the odds of winning the life-changing amount are an incredible one in 140million, massive queues are expected at ticket terminals around lunchtime and after work today as hordes of Brits take a £2.50-a-line punt.

If one Brit matches the numbers and two lucky stars in the draw, they will topple Colin and Chris Weir of Largs, Ayrshire, from the No1 spot on the EuroMillions rich list with their incredible £161million win in 2011.

If no one wins the megabucks jackpot, the £167million will rollover again to Friday night’s draw as the jackpot has reached its cap.
