Tuesday Leeds thunderstorm forecast as Met Office yellow weather warning in place

Here is the weather forecast for Leeds as a thunderstorm is set to hit while a yellow weather warning is in place.

Below is a breakdown of the weather for Leeds on Tuesday, August 16.

Leeds will see maximum temperatures of 21C. Cloudy and overcast start to the day until 2pm. It will then thunder and downpour for a couple of hours.

There will be a light rain for the rest of the day until 9pm. Temperatures will drop to 16C.

The Met Office's overall prediction for Yorkshire says: "Cloudy start, but soon breaking to give some warm brighter or sunny spells. Showers developing, becoming heavy and thundery at times, Feeling cooler than recent days. Maximum temperature 25 °C."
