If you spend a lot of time at work getting caught up on your favorite Tubi shows, you probably spend an equal amount of time trying not to get caught doing so. Well, Tubi has your back and just made it a lot easier.
The free streaming service is rolling out a new browser tool aimed at people who stream while they work to keep their viewing activities a little more hidden. Tubi offers tons of movies and shows, and if you want to catch binge between working on spreadsheets, that's your business.
Called Productubity, the free Chrome extension adds a quick toggle that switches your tab from Tubi to a decoy “work” view in a single click. That way, if someone (like your boss) walks by your desk, you can flip away from the movie or show and look like you're industriously completing your tasks. Here's what you should know about Productubity and how to use it.
How does Tubi's Productubity work?

Tubi says the Chrome extension adds a one-click toggle that hides your stream behind a faux interface. From what we've seen so far, it brings up a website-like page that looks a lot more professional than an '80s horror flick.
There's no complicated setup and no special account required beyond your normal Tubi viewing. Exact decoy layouts and customization details might vary as we've only seen one of the pages so far, but the key promise is speed. You click once to conceal your movie or show and click again to resume watching. It doesn't get much simpler than that, really.
If you've been around the internet a time or two, you'll recognize this kind of tech from websites that turn Reddit into Outlook screens or spreadsheets that hide March Madness streams.
The new tool stems from Tubi’s "The Stream 2025: Audience Insights Shaping Streaming" report, which highlights how common on-the-clock streaming has become for younger workers. According to Tubi’s data, a whopping 84% of Gen Z workers report watching TV shows or movies while working, while 50% of respondents in general say they stream while working.
Productubity is a free Chrome extension and is available to everyone as of today, Sept. 17. Download it and check out what's new on Tubi in September 2025.
