A 24-hour tube strike is set to take place in London, starting Wednesday evening. The strike was called in a dispute over terms and conditions for the introduction of all-night train services on weekends from September. The RMT union have described Boris’ attempts to introduce the service as a “rushed and botched vanity project”, claiming that London Underground managers knew it would not be possible to run the service by the 12 September scheduled start date.

Transport for London (TfL) is advising passengers to complete their journeys by 6.30pm on Wednesday and avoid travelling at peak times on Thursday if possible.

We’re interested in hearing both from tube workers on their reasons for striking, and from commuters affected. Whether you’re in solidarity with the striking workers, or are frustrated by the struggle to get into work, we’d like to hear your views, and for you to share your images from the pickets or of your inconvenienced journey.

We’ll highlight your contributions in our ongoing coverage.
