Tua Tagovailoa’s agent hopes Bengals don’t draft his QB

Maybe Tua Tagovailoa isn’t a fallback option at all for the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft.

Tagovailoa’s agent, Leigh Steinberg, went on ESPN 97.3 FM and dropped a note saying he hopes the Bengals take Joe Burrow…for certain reasons:

“You want to make sure that your client ends up with a good organization….I’m hoping Cinncy falls in love with Joe Burrow”.

There aren’t too many ways to read that one, folks This wouldn’t be the first time agents or otherwise — and on or off the record — have taken a shot at the Bengals and how the front office there does business.

And it’s still only January, so rest assured this is far from the only time this sort of things occurs as forces work to influence stock.

This comes on the same day Tagovailoa announced his plans for the combine. It also comes on the same day a report made the rounds suggesting his family wants him to get drafted by the Dolphins. The Alabama star is still considered the second-best quarterback prospect in the draft behind Burrow despite his injury woes.
