It was another routine day of dominance for Alabama, and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the way yet again.
The Crimson Tide stayed undefeated with a 49-7 victory over Southern Mississippi, and the top quarterback prospect in the 2020 NFL draft class lit up the stat sheet with nearly 300 yards and five touchdowns through the air.
In doing so, Tagovailoa made some Alabama football history along the way:
The early favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s draft, Tagovailoa is making quick work of some inferior opponents early in the season. We’ll see if he can keep up the same pace against top-10 teams like LSU, Auburn and Georgia down the stretch.
