Tu launch inspiring new inclusive Winter campaign celebrating modern women

Sainsbury's have launched a exciting inclusive new Winter campaign that features a cast of inspiring women ranging from stay at home mums, Venture Capitalist founders, to Football Club Directors. A cast that's representative of a truly modern Britain.

The campaign is part of an initiative to encourage women to break the mould and wear what feels good!  No more stuffy suits, uncomfortable heals or rules around how you should dress in the office – these are the new rules of power dressing.

As part of the campaign, Tu partnered with both Anna Whitehouse of  Mother Pukka  – who is actively driving change for flexible working hours for all, and  Sabrina Mahfouz ; author, editor and poet – to create an upbeat spoken word piece introducing the new power woman.

Tu clothing is available in store at Sainsbury’s, as well as online - and now even at Argos.

A big change to the usual stick-thin models we see plastered over fashion adverts, the news comes amid second-quarter revenue news from the retailer, who said sales have grown by 3.3% year-on-year.

According to Sainsbury's, clothing sales were “boosted by clearance activity and strong online growth", although the new statistics do follow less than impressive first quarter results for the store, where sales dropped by 4.5% year on year.
