TTD warns miscreants to refrain from spreading false information related to animal attacks at Tirumala

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams warned miscreants to refrain from spreading false information related to animal attacks at Tirumala.

The Tirupati trust expressed concerns that unnecessary fear psychosis was being created because of the false propaganda.

In the aftermath of the death of a six-year-old girl in a leopard attack near Tirumala about a week ago, the forest department in coordination with the TTD captured two leopards so far.

The Tirupati trust has set up more than 300 plus CCTV cameras to track the movements of wild animals along the Alipiri pedestrian route.

The forest department has set up camera traps and cages to capture anymore wild beasts moving close to the footpath route.

TTD has also beefed up security along the Alipiri pedestrian route and has also imposed numerous restrictions along the twin ghat roads and pedestrian routes in a bid to prevent the recurrence of leopard attacks in the future.
