TTD staffer lands in trouble after blackmarketing darshan tickets at Tirumala

TIRUPATI: A Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams staffer landed in the custody of the temple trust's vigilance and security wing after he reportedly resorted to blackmarketing of darshan tickets at Tirumala.

According to TTD sources, the employee identified as Sankaraiah sold away six VIP break darshan tickets to a group of Hyderabad based devotees for Rs.36,000 while the actual price of the tickets is just Rs.3,000.

The vigilance and security wing sleuths who acted on specific information questioned the devotees about how they got the VIP darshan tickets and it emerged that Sankaraiah got them the darshan tickets by misusing the recommendation letter of an MLC.

The vigilance and security wing sleuths took Sankaraiah into custody for questioning to probe deeper into the darshan tickets blackmarketing racket.

The Tirupati trust has appealed to the devotees not to approach any touts or middlemen for obtaining darshan tickets or accommodation at Tirumala and to strictly book them only through the official TTD website.
