TTD's IT division shuts down private website for fake recruitment drive

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the world's largest Hindu temple trust, shut down a fraudulent recruitment website on Wednesday and filed a police complaint.

The TTD was alerted to the scam after social media posts and messages circulated inviting unemployed individuals to apply for TTD positions through a website called "loanhelptelugu.in".

The recruitment drive claimed to be for 2023 and stated that the only educational requirement was a 10th-grade education, with a salary offer of Rs.1.42 lakh.

While some individuals fell for the scam, others contacted the TTD's IT department, which led to the scam being exposed.

The TTD's IT general manager, LM Sandeep, lodged a complaint with the police and the union ministry of electronics and information technology, resulting in the fake website being shut down.

The TTD warns unemployed individuals to be cautious of such scams and to visit the official TTD website for genuine job postings and updates.
