TTD plans to build temples across nation

VISAKHAPATNAM: TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy said that as part of the propagation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, TTD is committed to constructing Lord Venkateswara temples from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

The maha kumbhabhishekam was held in the newly-constructed TTD's Sri Padmavathi Godadevi Sameta Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple with religious fervour on Wednesday in the presence of Sarada Peetham seer Swamy Swaroopananda. The 5-day rituals came to conclusion on Wednesday with the idol installation and other pujas. The temple would be open for the devotees from Thursday.

Subba Reddy said the temple in Amaravathi will be opened soon and the temple in Odisha is all set for opening in a couple of months. Another TTD temple in Jammu, in an extent of 60 acres, would be completed in six months.

He said scores of temples would be constructed in tribal and backward areas in the coming years. During his anugraha bhashanam, Swaroopananda lauded the efforts of TTD in constructing the temple following all the norms of Vaikhanasa Agama. Describing the importance of various elements of the temple, he said the very darshan of the presiding deity will wash of all sins of the people and save humanity from evil forces.
