TTD gets new golden Suryaprabha Vahanam worth Rs 3 cr for Goddess Padmavathi Devi

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has added a brand new golden Suryaprabha Vahanam to the existing fleet of celestial carriers of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at the Tiruchanoor temple on the auspicious annual Brahmotsavams eve.

TTD has spent Rs.3 crore towards making this brand new Suryaprabha vahanam and nearly six kgs of gold was used.

Tiruchanoor temple priests performed special pujas to the new vahanam in the presence of TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy and Chandragiri legislator Dr Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy at the temple premises on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Goddess Padmavathi blessed the devotees on the Kalpavruksha vahanam on the sidelines of the annual Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor on Wednesday.

Later in the evening, the divine consort of Lord Venkateswara was taken out in a colourful procession on the Hanumantha vahanam.

Meanwhile, a contingent of officials from Tulja Bhavani temple in Maharashtra, interacted with the TTD officials as part of a study tour on Wednesday. The team from Maharashtra appreciated the impeccable temple tourism related services extended to the visiting devotees by the TTD.
