A video of two persons assaulting a TSRTC bus driver and hurling abuses went viral on social media on Sunday. The duo was travelling in an SUV sporting an MLA sticker. The incident reportedly took place between Shadnagar and Jadcherla on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway. Shadnagar police registered a case against the two persons under Sections 341, 353, 506,290 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code. In the video, the duo was seen holding sticks and beating the bus driver for reportedly trying to overtake their vehicle.
Later in the evening TSRTC MD V.C. Sajjanar tweeted: Police have assured us that stern action will be taken. #TSRTC request Public not to take #Law into their hands otherwise #Law has to do its duty. No one is above law.
