Thousands of bank customers across the UK were blocked from accessing their accounts, with TSB reporting problems with its mobile and online service.
With many waiting to access their salaries, they are currently unable to access their online accounts due to an outage that's affecting the banking app and website.
The bank said it was aware of intermittent problems on its internet and mobile operation with customers also facing lengthy waits to speak to an advisor through its telephone service.
TSB said: "We’re aware that a number of our customers are reporting problems logging in to internet banking and the mobile app.
"We’re currently looking into this and will provide an update as soon as possible."
Ironically, responding to telephone customers it posted: "We anticipate increased call waiting times so you may prefer to use our mobile app or internet banking for a swifter service."
But customers were fuming over the problems with many taking to social media to complain.
One posted: "has to be the worst bank ever. 50 minutes on the phone to get a replacement debit card cus they cancelled it by mistake.
"Now their web and app doesn’t work. Today I will finally switch business banking elsewhere."
Another called Lauren added: "@TSB if this is your attempt at April Fools it's not at all funny or appreciated by any of your customers!
"I just want to be able to check my balance and sort out paying Bill's and your stupid update has once again broken the app and online banking!"
TSB has faced a number of problems over the past few months with customers reporting several outages and problems with its online services.
