TSB customers fume after they can't transfer money between accounts

TSB customers were unable to transfer money between accounts this morning.

Dozens of furious customers of the banking giant complained on Twitter that they could not move money from their TSB account.

Andy Gillies tweeted: "any chance of being able to transfer my money and spend it?

"App and website not working AGAIN! worst bank ever... You've lost another customer today!"

Another TSB customer said: "is there a problem with the online service. When trying to transfer money (£50) from one account to the other (same individual accounts) it keeps saying the value date is not compromised among the allowed limits, please advise".

A separate user reported the same issue: "trying to transfer money between my tsb accounts online and getting a message saying "the value date is not comprised among the allowed limits". Any advice?"

One user suggested money can be transferred by calling the TSB online banking helpline but warned 'you're in for a long wait'.

A TSB spokesperson said: "Earlier today a small number of customers experienced problems making transfers between their TSB accounts using online and mobile banking. Throughout they could use telephone banking to make transactions.

"The issue was resolved at 1pm and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to any customers impacted.”
