Truth about Jadon Sancho 'transfer' response to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold took part in an Instagram Live session with actor and rapper Michael Dapaah on Thursday night.

Alexander-Arnold caught the attention of fans when he admitted he would love if "special talent" Jadon Sancho signed for the Reds.

When asked about the rumours regarding the Bundesliga star and whether he would like to play alongside him at Anfield, the 21-year-old said: "[If he came] To us?

"Listen, Sancho is sick so if he came to us he would make our team better.

"So, I'd be more than happy for him to come because I have played with him at England.

"He's a special, special, special, special talent."

During the live Q&A the Borussia Dortmund star was commenting throughout - and while he did send a series of eyes emojis, the timing of this particular comment has been misconstrued by some.

It did not come when Alexander-Arnold was discussing the prospect of Sancho playing for Liverpool.

Sancho sent the emojis just after his England teammate was asked who the toughest winger he has came up against so far was.

Alexander-Arnold picked Real Madrid's Eden Hazard, and when alerted to the emojis Sancho had sent - he then argued that he hadn't yet came up against his compatriot.

The former Manchester City youngster quickly replied: "[In England] Training Trent".

Dapaah then asked Alexander-Arnold: "Did he do you up in training?"

The Champions League winner laughingly denied this had happened and Sancho wrote: "It's your live so ima stay quiet".
