‘Trust the process’: Derrius Guice tweets inspiring message following surgery

After receiving surgery on his torn meniscus Thursday morning, Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice took to Twitter early in the afternoon to let fans know about his mindset going forward.

Guice, who injured his knee if the first regular-season game back from an ACL tear that forced him to miss his entire rookie season, said on Twitter that he is going to “trust the process.”

On Thurday morning, Guice underwent a procedure to trim the torn meniscus in his knee, performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Florida. The recovery from this surgery is expected to take up to 6-8 weeks. In his absence, veteran RB Adrian Peterson will shoulder the load for the Redskins.
