In fresh Trumpet of Patriots news that’ll raise some more eyebrows, the Clive Palmer-backed party has endorsed an individual who’s been accused of being inappropriate and a troll towards women in online sperm donation groups as its candidate for the New South Wales seat of Lindsey.
Joseph O’Connor — who states in his biography on the Trumpet of Patriots’ website that he “brings a wealth of experience in mental health and counselling” to his candidacy — has been accused of going by a variety of different aliases to rejoin sperm donation groups after being banned multiple times.

As reported by Sydney Morning Herald, O’Connor received multiple complaints over his conduct in these aforementioned online groups. This includes allegations he engaged in “creepy behaviour” towards women, sending unsolicited graphic imagery, and using the groups for “sexual gratification”.
One of his earlier profiles from 2019 saw him boast his “super high” sperm count.
“I kept knocking up all my previous girlfriends so figured I might as well come here and put it to good use,” he wrote.
He then set up his own sperm donation group in 2022, under the alias Adam Nilsson. The group also featured a list of ‘rules’.
“Anyone who whines, whinges, complains, etc., about anybody will be banned,” one rule read.
“This isn’t your soap box for you to have a cry and get sympathy because boo hoo it’s too hard.”

O’Connor stated to SMH that his intentions were “genuine” and denied the allegations, saying he had banned people from the group for catfishing.
He also denied sending unsolicited videos of himself to women in other groups. He stated that he had been banned from previous groups for “arguing”, and not for other reasons.
“I was looking to help people because IVF is too expensive for many people,” he told the outlet.
“[For the] majority of people, sex wasn’t involved at all.”
