Trump warns of ‘even more brutal attacks’ on Iran after Israeli strikes

  • President Donald Trump has claimed that the US had foreknowledge of and supported Israel's attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and military commanders.
  • This contradicts Secretary of State Marco Rubio's earlier statement that the strikes were unilateral and without American assistance.
  • The strikes, on more than 100 targets in Iran overnight, were carried out by 200 fighter jets, Israel said.
  • Trump stated on Truth Social that he had given Iran "chance after chance to make a deal" to restrict its nuclear weapons program before the strikes, and warned that Israel possesses advanced American military hardware.
  • He said there was “still time” for Iranian officials to make the “slaughter” by Israeli forces “come to an end” before “even more brutal attacks” come next.
