Trump Urges Israel To 'Immediately Stop The Bombing Of Gaza' Following Hamas' Response To His Gaza Plan

President Donald Trrump urged Israel to "immediately stop the bombing of Gaza" following Hamas' response to his Gaza peace plan, saying he believes the group is "ready for a lasting PEACE."

"Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE. Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it's far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East," Trump said in a social media post.

Hamas had responded to the proposal by saying it was willing to release all remaining hostages in return for an end to the war and a full withdrawal from the Israeli army. It added that it is ready to enter further negotiations, but did not talk about the demand it disarms.

As for the other issues contained in President Trump's proposal concerning the future of the Gaza Strip and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, these are linked to a broad national position and to relevant laws and international resolutions, and they will be discussed through a comprehensive Palestinian national framework in which Hamas will participate and contribute fully and responsibly," reads a passage of the response.

That looks like a rejection of the "Board of Peace" that would oversee a technocratic government in Gaza and would be chaired by Trump.

Trump had warned Hamas that "HELL" will be unleashed on the group if it didn't accept his proposal. Even though it has not been a full acceptance, Trump appears to be happy with the response.

In this context, Gulf countries reportedly intended to move forward with Trump's plan even if Hamas rejected it.

Bloomberg detailed on Friday that the countries could consider denying the militant group a veto, even if they still hoped it would accept the proposal.

The outlet added that the nations' stance is motivated by the intention to reduce regional tensions to continue their economic development plans, as well as local pressure to end the war.
