- Donald Trump issued a new threat against Iran on Truth Social, posting a mocked-up image of himself with an assault rifle and the caption “No more Mr Nice Guy!”
- The president wrote: “Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a nonnuclear deal. They better get smart soon!”
- The image also featured a US flag emoji and explosions and smoke in the background.
- Trump earlier claimed that King Charles III “agrees” that Iran should never possess nuclear weapons, a statement Buckingham Palace carefully addressed by referencing the UK government's long-standing position on non-proliferation.
- He also claimed that Iran is in a “State of Collapse” and wants the Strait of Hormuz opened, following Iran's blockade of the strait which caused global oil price surges.
