Trump tees up impeachment defense with stream of insults at AOC and Democrats

Liddle, lyin', nervous and dumb as a rock.

President Donald Trump set the stage for his impeachment defense with a stream of insults aimed at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other top Democrats.

"Our case against lyin', cheatin', liddle' Adam "Shifty" Schiff, Cryin' Chuck Schumer, Nervous Nancy Pelosi, their leader, dumb as a rock AOC ... starts today," Trump wrote on Twitter.

Trump also urged his supporters to watch the proceedings on his favored news sources: Fox News and the right-wing One America News Network. He trashed CNN as "Fake News" and suggested that MSNBC is a front for Democrats.

The sophomoric salvo came as Trump's lawyers prepared to unleash their defense of his scheme to bully Ukraine into opening investigations into Democratic front runner Joe Biden and a Trump-friendly conspiracy theory that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 vote, not Russia.

AOC hit back by retweeting legal eagle Preet Bharara asking whether Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, a key supposed moderate, would hold Trump's mean jibe against him. Murkowski lashed out at Democrats for disrespecting senators during the impeachment trial with nasty attacks.
