Trump tax returns can be released to Congress, DOJ says

The income tax returns of former President Donald Trump can be given over to Congress, the Department of Justice announced on Friday.

The Office of Legal Counsel for DOJ said that the U.S. Congress, specifically the House Ways and Means Committee, made a “legitimate request” to review the former president’s tax records.
