Trump sues Jan. 6 committee to block subpoena for testimony

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump sued to block a subpoena for his testimony issued by the special congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Trump filed the suit in federal district court in Florida on Friday night seeking an order declaring the subpoena invalid and unenforceable. The committee had sought documents from Trump as well as his testimony.
