Trump says US launching fresh round of ‘very heavy’ strikes on Iran

The U.S. is launching new strikes against Iranian targets, with President Donald Trump stating they are hitting them “very heavy tonight.”
Trump accused Tehran of being “foolish” and breaking a tentative peace deal brokered last month.
He also announced plans to charge a 20 percent toll on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and reinstate an Iranian blockade, positioning the U.S. as the “Guardian of the Hormuz Strait.”
Iran 's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi mocked Trump's plan, asserting Iran will always be the “guardian of the strait” and joking about the proposed fee.
This escalation follows an attack by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard on Gulf states overnight amid ongoing disputes over control of the Strait of Hormuz.
