Trump says key issues have been resolved with Iran: ‘We will straighten it out’

  • President Trump arrived in Arizona ahead of speaking at a Turning Point USA rally in Phoenix Friday evening, taking questions from reporters on the tarmac.
  • A reporter asked about Iran, cautioning that differences remain between Tehran and Washington on key issues, ahead of anticipated talks.
  • Trump played those down late into Friday, telling reporters he did not believe there were too many significant issues. “If there are, we’ll have to straighten it out, but I don’t think there’s too many significant differences,” he said.
  • TPUSA’s “Build the Red Wall” event is to rally support of young Republicans ahead of November’s primaries. Erika Kirk is scheduled to speak as well.
  • Trump’s remarks are scheduled less than a week after Vice President Vance spoke at a separate Turning Point event in Georgia, where he acknowledged young voters’ criticism of Trump’s Middle East policy while getting heckled from the crowd.
