Trump’s helicopter forced to land in airfield as he leaves UK after state visit

  • Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were forced to switch helicopters due to a minor "hydraulic issue" while returning to Stansted Airport in London.
  • The incident occurred on Thursday as they concluded a two-day state visit to the UK, travelling from Chequers.
  • Pilots landed Marine One at a local airfield "out of an abundance of caution" after detecting the problem.
  • The couple safely transferred to a backup support helicopter to continue their journey to the airport.
  • No injuries were reported following the incident.
