Trump rules out Iran war negotiations and demands ‘unconditional surrender’

  • President Donald Trump has declared there will be “no deal with Iran except unconditional surrender” as the Middle East is embroiled in the seventh day of a deadly conflict.
  • Trump promised to “bring Iran back from the brink of destruction” after US-Israeli airstrikes have devastated the country, including the capital of Tehran.
  • “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” Trump wrote. “IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).”
  • US defense secretary Pete Hegseth promised a “dramatic surge” in attacks on Iran, after more than 1,200 have already been killed since Saturday, according to Iranian authorities.
  • It comes as US military officials said it was likely that the US was responsible for an attack on a girls school in Iran which killed more than 160 people, including scores of students.
