President Donald Trump has recently revoked the security detail assigned to his former Defense Secretary Mark Esper, as confirmed by a reliable source. This action adds to the growing list of officials who have faced consequences from their previous boss.
Esper, along with several other top aides, had retained security protection after leaving office due to threats from Iran related to their actions while serving in the Trump administration. Notable figures like Gen. Mark Milley, former national security adviser John Bolton, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have also had their security details withdrawn in the initial weeks following Trump's assumption of office.
Furthermore, Esper's portrait was unexpectedly removed from the Pentagon's halls last week, surprising former senior aides who had worked for Trump during his first term.

Reports suggest that Trump's dissatisfaction with Esper had been escalating, leading to his dismissal shortly after the 2020 election. Trump reportedly referred to Esper as 'Yesper' in public, indicating the strained relationship between the two.
In a book, Esper detailed the chaotic nature of Trump's presidency, recounting instances where he was asked to use force against protesters and criticizing Trump as 'unprincipled.'
As of now, the White House has not provided any comments on this matter, and Esper, who is a source contributor, has chosen not to comment as well.
