Donald Trump has disclosed how many nuclear weapons North Korea has as he revealed that he plans to meet with Kim Jong Un again.
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Wednesday (19 August), the US president said that he and the North Korean leader get on “very well”.
“That's a good thing, not a bad thing. He has 57 very powerful nuclear weapons.”
When asked by a reporter if he plans to meet with Kim in 2026, he replied: “Yeah, I will be.”
It comes after the Pentagon officials cut short a joint exercise with the South Korean military after Trump said he was “not happy” with the US’ participation. He said he made the decision based on his “very good relationship” with Kim, adding that the drills were “hostile” toward Pyongyang.
