Trump reschedules his Tulsa Juneteenth speech

President Donald Trump pushed back by one day a rally planned in Oklahoma next week so it won't fall on Juneteenth, the day seen as marking the end of slavery in America.

"We had previously scheduled our #MAGA Rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for June 19th a big deal," Trump wrote on Twitter late Friday.

"Unfortunately, however, this would fall on the Juneteenth Holiday," Trump wrote. "Many of my African American friends and supporters have reached out to suggest that we consider changing the date out."

Trump wrote that the rally will be held instead on Saturday, June 20.

Trump claims that more than 200,000 people have asked for tickets to the Tulsa event. The rally is to be held in the city's BOK Center, which has a seating capacity of just over 19,000.
