Trump releases G20 highlights reel set to Make America Great Again soundtrack

US President Donald Trump has had his say on his experience at the G20 summit, releasing a short video reel of selected photo highlights from the world leaders' meeting in Germany.

Mr Trump was one of the few leaders to skip out on addressing a full press conference, usually held at the end of the three-day event.

Instead he released a near-two-minute video comprised of photos of himself and his family with various world leaders, set to a Make America Great Again soundtrack.

But beyond the #MAGA slogan, the video offered no hint of how Mr Trump thought the meeting had gone.

As ABC political reporter Chris Uhlmann recently pointed out: "Mr Trump is a man who craves power because it burnishes his celebrity".

"To be constantly talking and talked about is all that really matters. And there is no value placed on the meaning of words. So what is said one day can be discarded the next," he added.

"Mr Trump has pressed fast forward on the decline of the US as a global leader. He managed to diminish his nation and to confuse and alienate his allies."

Uhlmann's analysis appeared to strike a chord around the world, going viral online and gaining attention in America, where it was applauded for addressing the views of many concerned about Mr Trump's performance at the G20.
