Trump Raises Record Million At Fundraisers

Former President Trump is making significant strides in closing the fundraising gap with President Biden for their anticipated 2024 election rematch. On Wednesday, Trump is expected to raise approximately $15 million at high-profile fundraisers in Atlanta and Orlando, Florida.

In Atlanta, Trump is meeting with influential MAGA supporters, including former Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, as well as prominent figures like Bernie Marcus and Don Leebern III. Attendees are paying up to $250,000 for enhanced access to the former president.

Despite past conflicts, mainstream conservative leaders like Gov. Brian Kemp are notably absent from the fundraiser. Trump's next stop in Orlando will see attorney Dan Newlin hosting a fundraising event at his home.

Trump's recent fundraiser in Palm Beach, Florida, raised over $50 million, marking a record-breaking achievement. The event was part of the newly formed Donald J. Trump National Committee, a collaboration between the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee.

The fundraiser showcased Trump's growing support within the Republican donor class, with key figures like Sen. Tim Scott and Gov. Doug Burgum endorsing him. The event was described as a pivotal moment for donors to 'come home to Trump.'

Trump's fundraising efforts have intensified in recent months, with the formation of a joint fundraising committee with the RNC enabling coordinated fundraising across the country. The Trump campaign and RNC reported raising $65.6 million in March, ending the month with $93.1 million in cash on hand.

However, Biden's campaign announced raising over $187 million in the first quarter of the year, with a substantial $192 million cash reserve. Biden's ability to fundraise in conjunction with the DNC and state parties has contributed to his significant financial advantage.

Despite the fundraising disparities, Trump's campaign is gaining momentum and consolidating support within the Republican donor network as the 2024 elections draw closer.
