Former President Trump raised over $20 million in February, marking a significant increase from previous months. This brings his cash-on-hand to nearly $42 million by the end of last month. The fundraising efforts were led by his campaign and the Trump Save America Joint Fundraising Committee, which collectively brought in $20.33 million in February.
Compared to January, where Trump raised $13.875 million, and December, where he raised nearly $10.5 million, the February fundraising haul demonstrates a substantial surge in financial support. As of the end of February, Trump had a combined $41.9 million in cash-on-hand.
The Trump campaign emphasized the need for a return to 'America First' policies, highlighting the perceived successes of the previous administration in terms of national security and economic growth. The campaign's communications director, Steven Cheung, underscored the belief that Americans were better off under President Trump's leadership compared to the current administration.
Following victories in Georgia, Mississippi, and Washington state primaries, Trump officially secured the presumptive Republican presidential nominee status earlier this month. President Biden also clinched the Democratic nomination around the same time.
The upcoming November election will feature a rematch between Biden and Trump, the first such occurrence in a White House race since 1956. The latest source Poll indicated that Trump holds a lead over Biden in a head-to-head matchup.
Additionally, a recent ABC/Ipsos poll revealed that a higher percentage of respondents trust Trump (36%) over Biden (33%), with approximately 30% indicating that they trust neither candidate.
