Trump points finger in reporter’s face and tells her ‘quiet, piggy.’ What he demanded from her employer is even worse

President Donald Trump got into a heated argument with a Bloomberg reporter on Air Force One. The reporter, Catherine Lucey, was asking Trump about Jeffrey Epstein and the files connected to him. Trump did not like her questions and ended up insulting her in front of other people on the plane.

According to The Telegraph, Lucey asked Trump about some emails where Jeffrey Epstein wrote that Trump “knew about the girls.” Trump tried to avoid answering her question. He started talking about Democrats who were friends with Epstein instead. When Lucey tried to ask another question about why Trump won’t release the Epstein files, he got angry with her.

Trump pointed his finger right at Lucey’s face and said “Quiet, quiet piggy” to her. After that, he moved on to answer questions from other reporters. Videos of what happened started spreading on social media right away. Many people criticized Trump for the way he treated the reporter.

Things didn’t get better when they landed

After the plane landed at West Palm Beach Airport, Trump kept attacking Lucey. She tried to ask him if it was okay for Tucker Carlson to interview white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Trump interrupted her before she could finish.

“Will you let me finish? You are the worst. You’re with Bloomberg right? You are the worst. I don’t know why they even have you,” Trump told her. Then he said Bloomberg should fire her.

Lucey has been working as a political reporter for many years. She started at Bloomberg in 2017. Before that, she worked at the Wall Street Journal where she covered the White House and wrote about politics and policy issues. She is known for asking direct questions and doing thorough reporting.

This was not the only time Trump got angry with a female reporter last week. He yelled at Mary Bruce from ABC News recently. She asked him why he was waiting for Congress to release the Epstein files when he could do it himself.

Trump called her “a terrible person and a terrible reporter.” He also said ABC should lose its broadcasting license. “I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and it’s so wrong,” he said while meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The White House tried to defend what Trump did. A spokesperson said Lucey was the one acting badly and that reporters need to be able to handle insults from the president. But this just made more people angry. Media groups and press freedom organizations spoke out against Trump’s behavior. Trump has a history of threatening legal action against media outlets.

This is not the first time Trump has used “piggy” as an insult. Alicia Machado, who won Miss Universe when she was 19, said Trump used to call her “Miss Piggy” back when he owned part of the pageant. Even though Trump has come under great criticism lately, his intentions to “straighten out” the press seems as strong as ever.
