Donald Trump has told Fox and Friends he intends to name his nominee to the US Supreme Court to replace the late liberal justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by “Friday or probably Saturday”.
The president also made light of the revered judge’s dying wish that her replacement should not be chosen until after the election, alleging that the line was probably an invention of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or Adam Schiff.
Trump also used his morning rant to spread fresh conspiracy theories about Joe Biden and promise the country is “rounding the corner on the coronavirus”, with the country on 200,000 deaths and counting.
