Donald Trump has shared a meme on Twitter pushing a conspiracy theory that insinuates left-wing Antifa activists started the California wildfires on purpose, attempting to smear rival Joe Biden by association.
The president denied downplaying the threat posed by coronavirus on Tuesday night during a televised town hall with ABC News, declaring that, if anything, he “up-played” it while praising his administration’s response to the pandemic with almost 200,000 Americans dead.
Not for the first time, he claimed Covid-19 would simply “disappear”, having suggested some hours earlier that a US vaccine was possible within “weeks” and put his faith in the development of a “herd mentality” [sic] as a path to immunity.
