Donald Trump has mocked Amy Klobuchar for her debate performance in Las Vegas, where she confronted Pete Buttigieg for suggesting that she had discredited herself by forgetting the name of the president of Mexico.
Ms Klobuchar had responded to the mini-scandal by saying she had only momentarily forgotten president Andrés Manuel López Obrador's name, and then asked Mr Buttigieg if he thinks she is "dumb" when he said he "wouldn't liken this to trivia."
Mr Trump jumped on the moment during a campaign rally in Colorado Springs on Thursday.
"'Do you think I'm dumb'?'" he mocked, before continuing, "That was the end of her campaign in my book."
Mr Trump also targeted billionaire Mike Bloomberg during the rally, saying he had a poor night when he joined the five other leading democrats on the stage that night.
The sparring between Ms Klobuchar and Mr Buttigieg was started after Ms Klobuchar forgot the Mexican president's name during an interview with the Spanish language outlet Telemundo.
During the debate, she dismissed the error as "momentary forgetfulness", before the candidates enaged in a spat on stage.
"That's right, I said I made an error," Ms Klobuchar said. "I think having a president that maybe is humble and is able to admit that here and there maybe wouldn't be a bad thing."
Mr Buttigieg shot back: "I wouldn't liken this to trivia. You're staking your candidacy on your Washington experience. You're on the committee that oversees border security. You're on the committee that does trade. You're literally in the part of the committee that's overseeing these things."
"Are you trying to say that I'm dumb — are you mocking me here, Pete," she responded. "I said I made an error. People sometimes forget names. I am the one that has, number one, has the experience based on passing over 100 bills."
Ms Klobuchar then criticised the former South Bend for previous failed runs at statewide office in Indiana.
