Trump makes unusual visit to Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool

Lincoln Memorial (Facility) Donald Trump

President Donald Trump visited the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Thursday to inspect the progress of a renovation project he initiated.
The president had previously ordered the resurfacing of the iconic landmark with an "American flag blue" industrial-grade finish.
Accompanied by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, Trump drove his motorcade through the empty pool.
During the visit, Trump spoke with the Oklahoma-based painting crew, highlighting his electoral success in their state.
White House communications advisor Margo Martin stated the visit was to observe the project's advancement and meet the team.
