Trump issues new Iran ultimatum amid threats to ‘annihilate’ Tehran

Donald Trump issued a five-day ultimatum to Iran, warning the nation it could be "annihilated" if a peace agreement with America was not reached.
Donald Trump asserted that "very good and productive" discussions were underway to end the conflict.
However, this claim was swiftly dismissed as "fake news" by the Iranian parliament speaker, who stated that no such talks had occurred.
Mr Trump also declared a five-day halt to US military strikes targeting Iranian energy sites.
This announcement came just hours before a 48-hour ultimatum, previously issued by Mr Trump to Tehran concerning the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, was set to expire.
