Trump hosts first Ramadan Iftar dinner at White House

US President Donald Trump, whose rhetoric and policies have infuriated the Muslim community, has hosted his first Iftar - the sunset meal had by Muslims to break their daily fast during the holy month of Ramadan - at the White House.

But the event is drawing sharp criticism from American Muslim groups.
