WASHINGTON _ Donald Trump's presidential campaign is denying that he has lost his social media privileges in the late stages of the contest.
"No, it's not true," campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said on NBC's "Today" when asked about a New York Times report that aides to Trump had "finally wrested away the Twitter account that he used to colorfully _ and often counterproductively _ savage his rivals."
On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Conway offered panelists a chance to call Trump to ask him if he still had access to his cellphone.
"He's probably watching and he'll probably call me after" the appearance, she joked.
Democrats have pounced on the report. President Barack Obama said at a rally in Florida on Sunday that if someone couldn't be trusted with Twitter, "they can't handle the nuclear codes."
