President Donald Trump loves conflict so much he's been egging on a former staffer to attack one of his current senior officials, according to a report.
Trump _ who proclaimed earlier this week that he likes "watching" conflict unfold _ has encouraged his ex-communications director Anthony Scaramucci to slander White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, a source familiar with the situation told CNN.
Trump's encouragement appears to have materialized in a series of TV interviews Scaramucci has made in the past week, during which he has blasted Kelly's "terrible morale." Scaramucci, 54, has also derided Kelly as "General Jackass" and demanded that he apologize for his handling of staff secretary Rob Porter's resignation amid shocking domestic abuse allegations last month.
Scaramucci, meanwhile, has reportedly been added to a list that bars him from visiting the White House grounds. Kelly is rumored to have put the list together.
Neither Scaramucci nor the White House responded to requests for comment from The New York Daily News.
The Scaramucci revelation comes on the heels of Trump saying that he enjoys tumult.
"I like conflict," he said during a news conference with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven Tuesday. "I like having two people with two points of view. I like watching it, I like seeing it."
Earlier Tuesday, Trump pushed back against characterizations of his administration being in "chaos," tweeting, "There is no Chaos, only great Energy!"
But that same evening, Trump's top economic adviser Gary Cohn announced that he's stepping down after expressing frustration with the Trump's decision to impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. A few hours after that, news spread that porn star Stormy Daniels had filed a lawsuit against Trump in regards to an alleged extramarital affair they had in 2006.
Like his ex-boss, Scaramucci has an apparent liking for conflict.
The former Goldman Sachs banker was fired after just 10 days in the White House in the wake of giving an expletive-ridden interview about the inner workings of the Trump administration.
Since getting booted, Scaramucci has spent his time giving harsh interviews about his disliking of many of his former White House colleagues.
Scaramucci's post-White House behavior has reportedly landed him in hot water with Kelly and other senior staffers. Since he reportedly can't visit the White House, Scaramucci is taking his show on the road.
Scaramucci is slated to give a lecture about the Trump White House at The Jerusalem Post's annual conference in Manhattan on April 29. Even though he spent less than two weeks there, his appearance is billed as one that will go "behind the scenes of Trump's government."
