Trump corrects tweet boasting about his writing after it has spelling mistakes

Donald Trump has been forced to correct his tweet boasting about his writing ability after it was filled with spelling mistakes.

The US president posted on the social media website to defend his writing style and criticise the “Fake News” media for searching for mistakes in his tweets.

The tweet itself had a few errors: Instead of “pore over” Mr Trump wrote “pour over” and instead of “bestselling” he wrote “best selling”.

“After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake. I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!” Mr Trump tweeted.

The tweet received a number of mocking responses before it was deleted and reposted with the “pour over” error corrected.

Author J.K Rowling in particular found the tweet particularly entertaining typing “haha” in three successive responses.

She also dubbed Mr Trump as the "Gratest Writer on earth."

Mr Trump’s misspelling of words in tweets has been a regular occurrence, often leading to widespread confusion.

A few of the words he has misspelled on Twitter include: loose, instincts, judgement, counsel and whether.

It is also still unclear what was intended when Mr Trump tweeted the word “covfefe”.
